Art Statement

I am always struck by the utter beauty within the flower. The healing properties of flowers have been proved scientifically and don't require any introduction. They are so short lived, do you ever stop and take a very close look? Most folks don’t, but when they do, they find an amazing world. The close-ups of my blossoms bring that world to them.

This is Vina!

Through this project, I had a lot of fun shooting the footage of the flowers. Even there were some challenges, but it’s still a good experiment for me to integrate accumulated skills and knowledge in making an artwork which is kind of self improvement to achieve different skills in terms of science and creative aspects. Also, I am happy to involve people taking part in the creation of artwork since I have shared my final outcome to my friends. And she felt surprised about this and I even gave my remaining materials to her and let her try to create the same thing. All in all, I feel glad to create meaningful art which can share happiness with others and I hope you would enjoy this artwork!
